AREAS OF FOCUS
Students participate in play-based activities, both organized and self-directed.
Throughout the week, they have opportunities for direct instruction and practice designed to address all developmental areas.
Examples of direct instruction and hands-on experiences include: name writing, learning letters and sounds, counting and growing their faith through interactive lessons, focus on the saints and prayer.
Students enjoy thematic units that expand knowledge and skills, making learning more meaningful by connecting all content areas.
All classes attend physical education, music, art and library weekly.
Students grow in a positive school environment that is safe, caring and academically enriching.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
There is a 90-day probationary period for all new students, during which Light of Christ will assess the student’s ability to perform adequately in this environment. If you have further questions regarding your child’s readiness, please visit with a teacher or administrator.
